AI notes

AI notes turn a finished transcript into short, structured text. Open a transcript and choose the AI notes tab in the side panel.

Note types

Section	Button	What you get
Summary	Generate summary	A short overview of the whole recording.
Chapters	Generate chapters	The recording split into titled parts.
Action items	Generate action items	Tasks and follow-ups mentioned in the recording.

What each plan includes:

• Free: summary, 3 per day.
• Unlimited: summary, chapters and action items, 200 per day.

A locked section reads Included in Unlimited and has an Upgrade button. See Plans and billing.

Generate a note

1. Open a finished transcript and choose the AI notes tab.

2. Choose the button for the note you want, for example Generate summary. The section shows Generating… while it works.

3. Read the result. Choose Copy to copy it.

Every note carries the line AI-generated — may contain mistakes. Check names, numbers and decisions against the transcript before you share a note.

Keep notes current

If you edit the transcript after generating a note, the note shows the banner Transcript changed since this was generated with a Regenerate button. Choose it to build a new note from the edited text.

Limits and errors

Message	What to do
Too short for notes (needs 50 words)	The transcript is too short. Notes need a minimum length.
You’ve reached today’s AI notes limit.	Try again after the daily reset, shown on Plan & usage.
We couldn’t generate this note. Try again.	Choose Retry.
AI notes are unavailable right now.	Try again later.

Privacy

Scribewren sends transcript text to its language model provider only when you ask for a note. The provider works under zero data retention and does not train on your content. Scribewren never sends your name, email address, account ID, titles or file names. The Privacy Policy has the details and lists the service providers.

Note

Notes are kept until you delete them or your account. To remove a transcript, see Library.
